Mario was born and raised in Greenville, SC and like many proud Upstate natives, he decided early on that there was no place he’d rather live, work and play. A connoisseur of all things Greenville, Mario attended J.L. Mann Academy, excelling in both the classroom and on the Football field. His academic and athletic success landed Mario a football scholarship to Gardner-Webb University, where he earned multiple awards including, The Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year, All American, and recently, Mario was named to the Big South All Decade Team.
Following college, Mario moved home to Greenville where he took a job with D1 Sports Training, a national powerhouse in sports training and physical therapy. Due to his immediate success in customer service, marketing, and his knack to navigate tough situations, Mario was hired as the company’s youngest Regional Manager, where he oversaw the Greenville market and four other locations across three states.
He eventually started an apprenticeship with Milestone Custom Homes, a prestigious upstate custom home builder. Shortly after his work with Milestone, Mario launched his real estate career with nationally recognized Eastwood Homes, specializing in building top quality new homes since 1977. Mario has quickly become a top performer in the Greenville market. An expert in new home construction with a focus on green building, the home purchasing process, the Upstate and his clients unique needs, Mario has an extreme passion and a track record of success in getting the job done right.
Outside of work, Mario is an active member of the upstate community. He is an on-air radio personality for ESPN Upstate, remains active in youth sports, and was also recently named to the Board of Trustees for Fall for Greenville (the Upstate’s Largest food and music festival). On the weekends you can probably find Mario biking the Swamp Rabbit Trail, enjoying a local craft Upstate brew, or eating dinner at his favorite restaurant Grill Marks with his amazing fiancee, Liz Buchanan.
